The new Backpage Transparent features the balance wheel, the heart of the Backpage Transparent, shifted to the dial surface, allowing wearers to enjoy the watch's artistic finishes without having to remove it from their wrist. Moritz Grossmann designed the Caliber 107.0, a mirror image of the core caliber. The beautifully hand-finished Moritz Grossmann movement, including the balance wheel, ratchet wheel, crown wheel, and Glashütte click mechanism, can be seen through the transparent dial. This special and unique model is available in either a rose gold or white gold case, with a limited run of eight pieces each.

While the Caliber 107.0 is theoretically the mirror image of the Caliber 100.1, many key components have been redesigned. A new wheel between the crown wheel and ratchet wheel reverses the movement's entire gearing, along with the barrel's rotation. A mirrored escapement and regulator ensure the gear train functions correctly. The balance spring's winding direction has also been reversed. The design of the balance cock and escape wheel bridge has also been redesigned to accommodate the larger three-quarter plate. The stepped balance cock and escape wheel bridge, hand-engraved with a floral pattern, provide a harmonious accent to the movement. These components are adorned with captivating hand-engravings and finely chamfered edges, creating a high-art finish.
Transparent sapphire crystal dial
The black Moritz Grossmann logo is printed on the transparent sapphire crystal dial. The 11:00 to 5:00 hour markers, minute scale, and small seconds scale are also printed in black, creating a striking contrast with the rose gold or white gold case. The hands and screws, tempered to a brown-violet by the Manufacture, further enhance the elegant color. Both the rose gold and white gold models are paired with dark brown alligator straps.
Manual winding mechanism with pusher and stop-seconds function
On the back of the newly designed movement, the manual winding and hand-setting mechanisms are integrated into the gear train bridge, allowing for the first time a full view of their movements. Almost all components are mirror-imaged, while the pushers function in the same position. The balance stop function for the stop-seconds function has also been redesigned. Pulling the crown out slightly activates the yoke, switching the watch to time correction mode. At the same time, the brake spring is activated via a push bar extending toward the center, stopping the balance. After the push bar is pressed to restart the movement, the brake spring and push bar return to their resting positions. This ingenious mechanism, exclusive to Moritz Grossmann, prevents dust from entering the movement when the crown is operated and prevents accidentally setting the time incorrectly when the crown is pushed back.
