Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe, known for its dual roles as both a diving instrument and a timepiece for the general public, is now releasing a model that combines a blue dial and bezel with a Sedna® gold case.

Blue dial with sunburst finish
The sunburst finish on the dial creates a sense of movement. The rectangular hour markers and chapter ring in gold and Super-LumiNova® ensure perfect legibility in all conditions. The rectangular hour and minute hands are also coated with Super-LumiNova®, and the slim second hand and date window design are reminiscent of the Bathyscaphe watches of the 1950s.
What is Sedna® Gold?
Sedna® gold is an exclusive OMEGA alloy made from 75% gold, copper, and palladium. Its color is long-lasting and has a reddish hue compared to rose gold. Its name comes from the asteroid Sedna, said to be the reddest in the solar system. The 43mm Sedna® gold case features sharp contours and a satin finish, giving the Bathyscaphe a sporty yet sophisticated look. The Sedna® gold unidirectional rotating bezel features a ceramic insert with Ceragold® graduations and hour markers.

Rooted in a long-standing pursuit of precision and performance, this automatic movement was developed and crafted by Blancpain exclusively for its sports watches. Three connected barrels ensure a constant energy supply while ensuring a five-day power reserve. The watch's balance spring is made of silicon, boasting antimagnetic properties and exceptional stability. The sapphire caseback allows viewing of the movement. Its snailed and beveled bridges are complemented by a sand-blasted, satin-brushed, and snailed Sedna® gold oscillating weight engraved with the Blancpain logo.
