A must-have! Hublot x Berluti's new collaboration "Big Bang Unico Berluti Cold Brown"

Four years ago, French men's fashion brand Berluti and Swiss watch brand Hublot began collaborating to create a number of memorable timepieces. The collaboration combines Berluti's legendary Venezia leather and its patina with Hublot's signature "Art of Fusion" concept, and all previous models have been based on Hublot's Classic Fusion watches. Now, for the first time, a model based on the Big Bang Unico has been released, limited to 100 pieces worldwide.

Big Bang Unico's first collaboration with Berluti

　Hublot, with its mastery of various materials, has used the experience gained from its previous collaboration with Berluti to create the dial of the Big Bang Unico, crafted from the Maison's iconic Venezia leather. The leather is encased between two sapphire crystals, which, for the first time, are cut out to reveal the gears of the Unico movement. To preserve the natural beauty of the leather, a delicate process developed in collaboration with Berluti locks the leather's organic components in place, seemingly frozen in time. For this new style, the Venezia leather is given a cold brown patina.

Big Bang Unico Berluti Cold Brown

　Until now, Venezia leather has only been used on straps and dials, but this time, Venezia leather with a cold brown patina is also used on the watch bezel. This was made possible by the completely new concept of constructing the bezel in two parts. The first part of the bezel is made of leather approximately 1mm thick, which is attached to the second part, the black ceramic base below, using adhesive curing resin, and then screwed onto the watch case.
