It has been some time since Marco Lang, founder of LANG & HEYNE, started working on a new project. The project finally took shape and was unveiled at the end of last year. After leaving LANG & HEYNE, the idea for the new model was developed in his home and workshop (the former LANG & HEYNE headquarters). The result was a double-faced watch called "Zweigesicht." It is a model with two faces (gesicht) as the name suggests.
Model “Zweigesicht-1”
The first model in the "Zweigesicht" series allows you to flip the "favorite face" on the side that touches your skin to the front by simply adjusting the strap attachment. Despite the double-sided display thanks to the unique case and symmetrical movement structure, the watch looks slim and fresh. The ratio of the 40mm case diameter to the large 34mm movement diameter is sufficient to satisfy watch connoisseurs' expectations of the quality and beauty of a precision watch. Only 18 of this model will be produced.
Manual winding (Cal. ml-01). 28 jewels (27 rubies and 1 diamond). 21,600 vph. Available in stainless steel, 18KRG, and platinum (diameter 40mm, thickness 9.5mm). Power reserve approximately 70 hours. Water resistant to 50m. Stainless steel: 8.8 million yen (estimated price excluding tax), 18KRG: 9.8 million yen (estimated price excluding tax), platinum: 10.6 million yen (estimated price excluding tax).
Caliber ml-01

A hardened steel flying bridge forms the basic design concept of the first movement in the new Marco Lang project. The off-center, four-spoke, free-sprung balance is inspired by the shape of Gothic church windows. Two barrels arranged in series ensure a long power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Two additional hands display the hours and minutes on a skeletonized, translucent enamel dial. The rose gold base plate is topped with hard gold alloy wheels, polished, brushed, or blued tempered steel, and rubies, and is engraved with the company's signature.
