Manufacture Jean Rousseau, a luxury French leather goods brand, has added a new, more conventional watch strap specification to its NATO-style custom watch straps for the Sony Wena 3, which incorporates the latest smartwatch functions (e-money payment, touch display, Amazon Alexa, activity log, etc.) since January 2021. This is a standard watch strap specification made with two straps rather than a single NATO strap, allowing for a thicker strap at the lug attachment point.

Only the buckle part is a smartwatch

The "wena 3" is a Sony smartwatch that integrates all the essential functions of a smartwatch into a watch buckle that is just 6.9mm at its thinnest point. While significantly updating the functionality of the previous model, the "wena wrist active," the buckle has also been made thinner and smaller than the previous model. It is also made of stainless steel (SUS316L), and the module is designed to curve to fit the shape of the wrist, resulting in an excellent fit.

From the front, it looks like a regular mechanical watch.

Because the functions are concentrated in the buckle, the watch body of your beloved mechanical or vintage watch can be turned into a smartwatch without changing it. With the custom-made watch strap, customers can choose their preferred leather material, color, lining, stitching, etc., and the leather strap that connects the watch body and the ``wena 3'' will be made to order.

The leather materials used are four types, including the highest quality Mississippi alligator, known as the "jewel of leather," as well as grain calfskin, goat leather, and Alcantara. Customers can choose their favorite color from approximately 300 colors, including popular vintage colors and metallic brushed finishes.
