Bvlgari [2021 New Release] Minute Repeater "Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon" in Modern Black

Bulgari has announced the Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon, a watch equipped with a minute repeater and tourbillon. As the name "Carillon" suggests, this model has three hammers and will be sold in a limited edition of 15 pieces worldwide.

　Bvlgari has previously produced striking watches, such as the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater and the Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie, but the Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon, announced as a new model for 2021, features a three-hammer minute repeater mechanism and a tourbillon.

　It is equipped with a completely in-house hand-wound movement, the caliber BVL 428. Measuring 8.35mm thick and consisting of a total of 432 parts, this movement is designed with an emphasis on the tone of the minute repeater, and a cavity is provided inside the middle case to allow the sound to resonate.

　The three hammers each play the notes "C, D, E," and E. The hours are represented by a C note, the quarter-minutes by a succession of E, D, and D, and the minutes by the number of E notes struck. The current time is indicated by a combination of these notes. The movement's main plate and bridges are DLC-coated, and along with the DLC-coated titanium case, they have a matte finish. The crown at 3 o'clock and the push-button for operating the minute repeater at 9 o'clock are made of white gold.

　The crown is engraved with the numbers 1 to 15. These numbers are serial numbers indicating that this is one of only 15 pieces in the world. The case back is see-through, allowing you to see the movement in action. The Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon, with its matte black case, dial, and strap, is a minute repeater that is typical of Bulgari, combining traditional complex mechanisms with modern design.
