Chaumet Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store to grand open on March 5th

A Chaumet boutique will open on the first floor of the Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store on March 5, 2021. The interior of the store, decorated in deep blue and white, will feature maillot shawls (models) of tiaras that the Maison has produced. To commemorate the opening, the limited edition Eden watch from the "Hortensia" collection will be available for pre-sale.

Interior inspired by a Parisian mansion

Chaumet operates 13 boutiques in Japan, and is opening a new one at the Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store. Inside the calm interior, reminiscent of a Parisian mansion, the deep blue used throughout is eye-catching. This deep, rich blue, reminiscent of the "bleu de roi" (royal blue) color of Sèvres porcelain, which has a deep connection to the French court, is the brand's signature color and is used on its logo and jewelry boxes.

　Displayed inside the store is a maillot shawl, a model of a tiara made from nickel silver. The tiara is the company's symbol and is also featured in the company's logo. Founder Marie-Étienne Nitot, at the command of Emperor Napoleon, created numerous tiaras worn by women of the royal court, including Empress Josephine and her daughter Hortense. Even after the imperial era, the company continued to receive requests for tiara production from royalty and aristocrats around the world, and to date, the company has produced over 2000 tiaras.

　The Chaumet Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store will have its grand opening on Friday, March 5th, where customers can enjoy the company's creations while looking at the maillot shawls that tell the story of its glittering history and the numerous visuals displayed on the walls.
