G-SHOCK [2021 New Model] "MTG-B2000PH" Inspired by the Legendary Phoenix

Casio G-SHOCK will be releasing a new model in the MT-G series, the Dual Core Guard, inspired by the phoenix, the MTG-B2000PH. This special model, with a blue rainbow ion-plating finish on the bezel and case, is scheduled for release in May.

　The latest series in the MT-G collection, the MTG-B2000, which was released last October, features a newly developed Dual Core Guard structure for improved shock resistance and a completely revamped design. The latest addition to the MTG-B2000 series is the MTG-B2000PH, a special model inspired by the legendary Chinese bird, the phoenix, featuring a blue-based rainbow ion plating on the bezel and case.

　Rainbow IP models have frequently appeared in the MT-G collection, and are popular for their striking visuals. This model features a rainbow IP finish with a gradient on the bezel and case, each in a different direction. The indexes, hands, and inset dial ring are also colored in blue, red, green, yellow, and orange to match the color of the case.

　The strap is made of navy blue skeleton resin, creating a unified color scheme. Like the regular model, the strap can be easily changed using the double slide lever. The case itself is Zaratsu polished, and some of the chamfered edges are mirror-finished.

　In terms of functionality, the watch can be linked to the smartphone app "G-SHOCK Connected" via Bluetooth. If the smartphone is nearby, the time can be corrected without any button operation, and when traveling across time zones, the smartphone will retrieve local time information from the Internet and automatically correct the time on the watch. This model, featuring the metal exterior characteristic of the MTG-B2000 series, is scheduled for release in May.
