The GMW-B5000TR, a full-metal model that inherits the design of the original G-SHOCK DW-5000C, will be the first G-SHOCK model to feature a full mirror finish titanium finish. This model, which uses the new Super-TIX20AFG titanium material for the case and bracelet, is scheduled for release in April.

The GMW-B5000 inherits the design of the first G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, which was released in 1983, and is now fully metal with a new shock-resistant structure. This series has been extremely popular since its release in 2018, and a new model with a Bordeaux IP finish was released in January of this year.
The newly announced watch uses "Super-TIX20AFG," a new material from the "Tran Tixxii" titanium alloy series, which Casio and Nippon Steel Corporation developed over a period of approximately six years. This material retains the lightweight and rust-resistant properties of titanium, while boasting approximately twice the hardness of pure titanium. This makes it possible to achieve a finish comparable to stainless steel, even with titanium, which is considered difficult to achieve a mirror finish, and this is the first time that a full mirror finish has been achieved on a titanium G-SHOCK model.

The case is gold IP-coated, and the bracelet is IP-coated in red, blue, light gray, dark gray, and gold for each link, creating a unique multicolor design. The watch's construction includes a fine resin buffer between the bezel and case, a three-pronged bracelet connection, and a DLC-coated screw-back.
This model also features smartphone linking via Bluetooth. By connecting with the smartphone app "G-SHOCK Connected," you can automatically adjust the time, set the World Time city, and swap between Home Time and World Time. Other features include a Time & Place Log, which allows you to record your current location and time on a map in the app by operating the watch's buttons, a Reminder function that notifies you of appointments created in the app, and a local calendar setting that supports six languages.
The GMW-B5000TR, a special model of the GMW-B5000, is scheduled to be released in April in a special multi-colored package.
