This marks Emirates Team New Zealand's fourth America's Cup victory in 2021, following previous victories in 1995, 2000 and 2017. The victory also marks an important milestone in OMEGA's sailing history. The 36th competition focused on boat design. The next showdown on the open sea will see the winners of this competition, Emirates Team New Zealand, appearing as defending champions.
