Audemars Piguet [2021 New Models] Three New Royal Oak Models with Green Dials

Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak collection will feature the Royal Oak "Jumbo" Extra-Thin, Royal Oak Chronograph, and Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon, all with green dials.

Audemars Piguet's flagship collection: the Royal Oak

　The Royal Oak, created in 1972, is one of the earliest luxury sports watches designed by watch designer Gérald Genta. It remains a key Audemars Piguet collection, with new models released every year and a variety of variations available, including chronographs and tourbillons.

　The three models announced this time are the "Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin" with a vivid green dial, the "Royal Oak Chronograph," and the "Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon," for a total of five models.

"Royal Oak 'Jumbo' Extra Thin"

　The Royal Oak "Jumbo" Extra-Thin features a sunburst dial with a green gradient that spreads from the center, and its case and bracelet are made of platinum. This is the first time that this series, which is characterized by its Petite Tapisserie dial, has combined a sunburst dial with a platinum case.

　It is equipped with the automatic movement, Caliber 2121. As the name Extra Thin suggests, the new model retains the characteristics of previous "Jumbo" models, such as a thin case of just 8.1mm, the signature logo at 12 o'clock, and "AP" at 6 o'clock. This model is sold exclusively at AP House locations in Hong Kong, Madrid, Milan, and other locations.

"Royal Oak Chronograph"

　This Royal Oak chronograph model features a green dial, a first for the brand, paired with an 18K yellow gold case and bracelet. The three subdials are also green, creating a unified design. The hour, minute, and second hands, as well as the subdials and indices, are also yellow gold, matching the case.

　The "AP" logo at 12 o'clock is made by electroforming. The movement is caliber 2385. As this is a limited edition model, the words "LIMITED EDITION" are engraved on the case back. It also comes with a green calf leather strap and rubber strap that match the dial color.

"Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon"

　The Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon was released last year as the latest version of the Royal Oak Tourbillon, which was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Royal Oak in 1997. This series is available in three models: titanium, stainless steel, and 18K pink gold, and three limited edition models with green dials will be released.

　The first is a limited edition model of 10 pieces worldwide, featuring an 18K pink gold case. The indexes, hour and minute hands, and balance wheel are also pink gold colored. The second is a full titanium model, limited to 50 pieces worldwide. The third model features a titanium case with an 18K white gold bezel only. The bezel is set with 32 baguette-cut emeralds that match the dial color.

　All three models feature a green dial with an "Evolving Tapisserie" pattern, with the Grand Tapisserie pattern radiating from the tourbillon at 6 o'clock. The movement is the same caliber 2950 as the existing models. The case back of each model is engraved with the words "LIMITED EDITION."
