Hamilton [2021 New Model] "Ventura Elvis80 Skeleton" Named After Elvis Presley

Hamilton's Ventura was born in 1957 as the world's first battery-powered wristwatch. Named after Elvis Presley, who was a huge fan of the watch, the new "Ventura Elvis 80 Skeleton" is available in two colors. The iconic design of the original model has been reinterpreted and reborn as a mechanical watch.

A reinterpretation of the Ventura Presley model

　Hamilton will release the new "Ventura Elvis80 Skeleton" in two colorways, named after Elvis Presley. These two watches were created because Elvis Presley, the former King of Rock and Roll and active as a musician and film actor, was an avid fan of the original Ventura.

　The first Ventura model was released in 1957 and is known as the world's first battery-powered wristwatch. The unique triangular case, designed by industrial design genius Richard Arbib, was cutting-edge and captivated many people.

　The movement installed in the first Ventura was Cal. 500, which was revolutionary as it was powered by a mercury battery but had the same escapement as a mechanical watch. As time has passed, the modern Ventura has been reinterpreted in a modern way while still being equipped with a mechanical movement.

The Ventura Elvis80 Skeleton is equipped with the automatic caliber H-10-S. The ETA2824, a general-purpose movement, has been customized to extend the power reserve to approximately 80 hours. Once wound, the watch can run for more than three days, greatly improving its practicality.

　The lineup includes two different styles. The striking zigzag line at the center of the skeleton dial evokes electricity. One is a chic watch with a black PVD-coated case and a red second hand and line. The other features a rose gold case, hands, and line. While the base is the same, the two watches have completely different atmospheres thanks to their color schemes.
