Hamilton [2021 New Model] "Intra-Matic Chronograph H" with a Manual-Wound Chronograph Movement

Hamilton will release the Intra-Matic Chronograph H, a modern reincarnation of the Chronograph A and Chronograph B, which were released in 1968, and equipped with a manual-winding chronograph movement. With a design that exudes a vintage feel, it embodies Hamilton's watchmaking history.

A modern re-release of a heritage model

　Hamilton will release the Intra-Matic Chronograph H, a faithful reproduction of the manual-winding chronograph released in 1968.

　This model originated from the "Chronograph A" and "Chronograph B" released in 1968. They were pioneers of chronographs equipped with manual-winding movements, an essential part of Hamilton's history. The former was nicknamed the "Panda Dial" due to its white dial with black subdials. The latter, with its black dial with white subdials, was nicknamed the "Reverse Panda Dial," as it was an inverted panda dial.

　The Intra-Matic Chronograph H, a reproduction of these timepieces, is available in two versions: a panda dial and a reverse panda dial. The thin bar indexes and hour and minute hands are coated with beige Super-LumiNova®, reminiscent of the color of old radium, and feature the brand logo in the same typeface as the original.

　While the overall design remains the same as the original model, the stainless steel case has been enlarged. While the original was 36mm, this model is now 40mm, giving it a more modern look. The box-shaped crystal, which retains the look of the time, is made of highly transparent and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Two types of straps are also available: a black leather strap and a mesh bracelet, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your occasion.

　The movement used is also inherited from the original, and is the "H-51" manual-winding chronograph movement developed specifically for this model. Its notable feature is its power reserve of approximately 60 hours. Winding the mainspring and operating the stopwatch with your own hands evokes the joy of interacting with machinery that only a manual-winding movement can offer.
