A. Lange & Söhne [2021 New Model] "Triple Split" with a blue dial and pink gold case

A new variation of the Triple Split, which A. Lange & Söhne announced in 2018, has been released, combining a blue dial with a pink gold case. Like the first model, it will be sold in a limited edition of 100 pieces.

A new option for the groundbreaking chronograph

　A. Lange & Söhne has added a new variation to the Triple Split as part of its Watches & Wonders 2021 collection. Combining a blue dial with a pink gold case, this unique chronograph is reimagined.

　Due to the large number of display elements, a color concept has been adopted that pays particular attention to visibility. The dial features a deep blue with rhodium-colored subdials, and the rattrapante hands are silver and gold. The materials of the hour and minute hands and bar indexes match the case, creating a color balance for the entire watch. As with the first model, which combined a gray dial with a white gold case, only 100 pieces will be produced.

The Triple Split is a model with a groundbreaking mechanism that was released in 2018. It is the world's only rattrapante chronograph, capable of measuring reference and intermediate times up to 12 hours, and also equipped with a flyback function. It has a total of 10 hands, each of which clearly indicates which function it is assigned to.

　Although rattrapante functions have been developed in the past, the addition of an hour counter axis, which allows for measurement of up to 12 hours, is expected to be useful in a variety of situations, such as comparing the times of two competitors in long races or competitions, or measuring individual event times and total times, and will dramatically expand the possibilities of analog time measurement.

　The see-through case back allows for a full view of the movement. The architecturally-stacked components are all finished to Lange's highest quality standards, following traditional German techniques. The German silver bridges with Glashütte stripes beautifully capture the light, and the gold chatons secured with tempered blue screws are one of the defining features of the company's movements. Watching the intricate interplay of each individual component is a truly blissful experience.
