Omega [2021 New Model] The Newly Reborn Seamaster 300

The classic Seamaster 300 is being reborn in 2021 with new materials. In addition to a model with a case made from Omega's proprietary bronze-gold alloy, stainless steel case models with blue and black dials have also been added to the collection.

Uses a new material, bronze gold

　Omega's Seamaster 300 collection has been completely redesigned. The original Seamaster 300, released in 1957, is one of the most famous watches from the company as it was the company's first professional diver's watch. Retaining elements of the original model, such as a black dial with an emphasis on visibility and operability, luminous indices, and a diving bezel, the latest collection for 2021 has been reborn.

　The bronze gold used for the first time in the Seamaster 300 is a proprietary Omega alloy for which a patent is pending. Bronze has been used in boat propellers and diving helmets and is prized as a rust-resistant material, but it also has the tendency to develop a patina when oxidized and to corrode.

　Bronze Gold is a blend of 9K gold, palladium, and silver, which effectively overcomes the weaknesses of bronze. Its soft pink gold-like color feels good on the skin and changes color slowly over time, revealing its natural beauty with use.

　The brown ceramic bezel ring, vintage-colored Super Minolva, and brown leather bracelet combine to create a unified look with a warm color palette for the entire watch.

A familiar stainless steel case model

　In addition to the aforementioned bronze gold model, the lineup will also include four stainless steel models, as before. These come in two colors: a blue dial and bezel reminiscent of the ocean, and a black dial and bezel, and are paired with either a stainless steel or vintage brown leather strap.

　All five models feature a new sandwich dial. The base dial is coated entirely with Super-LumiNova, and a dial with cut-out Arabic numerals and indexes is layered on top. The bezel has also been made slightly thinner, increasing the diameter of the dial display from 29.5 mm to 30.4 mm, improving legibility.

　The stainless steel models also feature a rounded lollipop second hand and a redesigned, thinner domed sapphire crystal, subtle differences from the previous model accentuated by a new conical crown on the side of the case.

　These models are powered by the highly accurate in-house caliber 8912 with a Co-Axial escapement, are Master Chronometer certified, and come with a 5-year international warranty.
