The Speedmaster Moonwatch is a historic masterpiece from Omega. It was the Speedmaster worn by Neil Armstrong, commander of Apollo 11, when he made the first manned moon landing in 1969. This strap was released to commemorate the history of space exploration between Omega and NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), which have a close relationship with the space industry.
When astronauts perform extravehicular activities or spacewalks, they avoid heavy metal bracelets and instead prefer lightweight straps that can be adjusted to fit even while wearing their spacesuits. This newly announced strap is ideal for the Moonwatch, and will also be a convenient accessory for the majority of users who are not astronauts. Because it can be easily adjusted in high temperatures or when your wrist swells during exercise, it will also be useful as a strap for everyday use or when playing sports.
