A dial that showcases the craftsmanship of the artisans
Hermès has announced the Slim d'Hermès C'est la Fête, a new model for 2021. It features an artistic enamel dial and showcases the craftsmanship of artisans. Combining the skilled techniques of enamel artisans and engravers, this luxurious model is available only to a limited number of owners.

Automatic winding (Cal. H1950). 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 42 hours. 18KWG (diameter 39.5mm). Water resistant to 3 ATM. Limited to 8 pieces worldwide. Price: 12,749,000 yen (tax included).
The motif for the dial design of this piece is one of the company's signature scarves, the "C'est la Fête" scarf, which depicts a man in formal attire, including a tailcoat and top hat, riding and controlling a horse, both of whom are depicted as skeletons.
The unique design was created by Japanese designer and illustrator Daisuke Nomura, who combines Hermès' iconic motifs with manga, anime, and game culture to create a unique worldview.

To recreate this motif on the dial, a traditional technique requiring expert craftsmanship was used: paillonné enamel was used as the base for the dial, and a miniature painting was then created on top of the transparent enamel. The horse and human motifs were then carved into a gold plate in three dimensions using chisels and chisels.

The completed dial is housed in a white gold case along with the H1950 thin automatic caliber with a micro-rotor, and comes with a navy alligator strap to match the dial color.
The eight Slim d'Hermès C'est la Fête watches, created through the Maison's craftsmanship, are one-of-a-kind works of art, adorned with the transparency of paillonné enamel and the brilliance of engraving.
