CVSTOS has announced the new Challenge Sealiner PS Automatic from the Challenge Sealiner collection, which embodies the elegant yet sporty spirit of the sea. This model features the use of magnetism, the enemy of mechanical watches, inside the movement, bringing new technological innovation to the world of Challenge Sealiner.

New technology for stabilization using weak permanent magnets

　The small seconds feature a special design that links the movement of a real screw attached to a boat with the mechanism of a mechanical watch. Typically, the center seconds (seconds hand) is located in the center of the movement and is attached to the seconds wheel (number four) next to the escapement. However, since the escapement is located at 11 o'clock, prioritizing design, it had to be moved to 6 o'clock. Therefore, a new gear train was created, drawing power from the escape wheel and extending to the 6 o'clock position. Furthermore, to realize the screw movement of the small seconds, a new technology was used to stabilize the additional seconds wheel with a weak permanent magnet attached to the backside to prevent any unnatural movement during operation. This was done to ensure the watch appears beautiful and three-dimensional from any angle.

Teak wood bridge joined in stripes

　To increase the durability of the mechanism, a sturdy bridge is attached inside the movement. This bridge is made of stripes of high-quality teak wood, which is used in actual ships and has a beautiful grain and is strong and durable, combining both beauty and durability.
