Tissot [2021 New Model] "Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional" with a sturdy 46mm case

Tissot has announced the Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional, a diver's watch that meets the high functionality and quality demanded by professional divers. The watch features a 46mm case with 600m water resistance and comes in three colors: blue, marine blue, and gray.

Quality that meets professional demands

　Tissot announced its new 2021 model, the Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional, a professional diver's watch. This new series of diver's watches offers the high functionality and quality required by professional divers. The "2000" in the model name stands for feet, indicating that the watch is water resistant to 600 meters.

　The 316L stainless steel case is large, measuring 46mm in diameter and 16.25mm thick, making it extremely robust. The lavish use of high-quality materials allows for a robust design that takes advantage of the inherent strength of stainless steel. While the large case is not suitable for everyone, it does offer the benefit of being easy to operate even while wearing diving gloves. The unidirectional rotating bezel, an essential feature of diver's watches, is exceptionally easy to operate precisely because of its large size.

　The dial features a wave pattern befitting a marine watch, and the thick hands and indexes ensure excellent legibility. The color is gradated from the center to the periphery, darkening the color as it progresses from shallow water to deep sea. Three dial colors are available: Ultramarine Blue, Nordic Blue, and Dark Stormy Gray.

　This model is equipped with a customized ETA Powermatic 80 caliber, boasting a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. A malfunction or breakdown of the movement can be fatal for divers engaged in underwater activities, so a heart with a long power reserve is a reliable option. The balance spring of this watch is also made of Nivachron™, a titanium-based non-magnetic alloy, which reduces the possibility of magnetism adversely affecting accuracy.
