Citizen Promaster releases a collaboration model, the "Mechanical Diver 200m," that expresses Godzilla's strength.

Citizen has announced a collaboration model between its Promaster and the TV anime "Godzilla SP (Singular Point)." Based on the "Mechanical Diver 200m," the two models, which incorporate the powerful and ferocious image of Godzilla into their designs, will be released in limited quantities of 500 each.

Robustness reminiscent of Godzilla

　Citizen is releasing new models in its "Citizen Promaster" series, a professional sports watch with high performance. As a new project for the Japanese monster Godzilla, the brand is collaborating with the all-new TV anime series "Godzilla SP (Singular Point)," which began airing in April 2021, to create a lineup of two models based on the "Mechanical Diver 200m."

The "Mechanical Diver 200m" is a professional diver watch sold overseas, and is a mechanical watch with 200m water resistance that meets ISO standards. The overall design is reminiscent of Godzilla, with a red and gray dial that expresses its strength and ruthless ferocity, and is decorated with Godzilla's dorsal fin pattern. The rotating bezel, which is designed for ease of use, has protrusions that resemble Godzilla's skin, and the robustness evoked by the exterior overlaps with Godzilla's image of strength.

　The three hands and indexes are coated with luminous paint to ensure visibility in dark places, and the watch is equipped with all the features required of a diver's watch, including a unidirectional rotating bezel and a screw-down crown. The center of the case back features a silhouette of Godzilla in battle mode, fully embodying Godzilla's charm. In addition, the watch comes with an original glass watch stand for displaying the watch, as well as a special box bearing the "Godzilla SP (Singular Point)" logo.

　These special Promasters will be sold in a limited run of 500 units each. The general release is scheduled for May 28, 2021, but pre-orders have been available since April 27, 2021. They will also be available for pre-order from May 22, 2021, at Toho's official Godzilla store.
