Fortis launches Japan-limited model "Flieger F-39-J Automatic" with blue dial

Fortis has launched the Flieger F-39-J Automatic, a limited edition of 50 pieces for Japan, in its Flieger collection. Unlike the regular matte model, this model features a deep blue dial with a glossy sunray finish, with the red accents of the second hand standing out in the center.

　Fortis' pilot watch, the Flieger series, was reborn in 2020, and the "Flieger F-39-J Automatic," which was announced at the end of last year, is now on sale. The blue and red color scheme of this model is appropriate for a Japan-only model, and it is a highly rare model with only 50 pieces produced.

　The watch has the same robust case for professional use and simple, uncluttered dial design as the base model, the Flieger F-39 Automatic, but the coloring of the dial and hands has been changed for this limited edition model. The dial is a captivating deep blue with a glossy sunray finish that changes its appearance depending on the light and angle.

　As is typical of Filtis, which values ​​practicality, the unique design elements common to the series have been retained. These include "SYNCHROLINE®︎," which pilots use to synchronize the timing of their aircraft formations, "Brixtrack®︎," which is placed around the outer periphery of the dial to ensure instant visibility, and white Super-LumiNova X1 coating on the hands and indexes, providing excellent visibility in the dark.
