Bovet [2021 New Release] "Recital 26 Brainstorm® Chapter Two Red Gold" with an 18K red gold case

Bovet has announced a new version of its Recital 26 Brainstorm® Chapter Two, which was released in 2020 with a sapphire crystal case, now with an 18K red gold case. The three-dimensional movement, which can be seen through the unique lighting slope case, is a stunning piece of work.

　Bovet has announced a new version of the "Récital 26 Brainstorm Chapter Two" as a new release for 2021. While the original model featured a sapphire crystal case, this new model features an 18K red gold case, giving it a completely different impression. In contrast to the clear and light image of the sapphire crystal, this model has a heavy and majestic appearance, embodying Bovet's pride and joy in high-end watchmaking.

One of the distinctive features of the "Recital 26 Brainstorm® Chapter Two Red Gold" is its "writing slope" case. This case, conceived by owner Pascal Raffy in 2016, features a unique shape to enhance legibility. By sloping the side from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock and combining it with a domed sapphire crystal, it allows for intuitive reading even when tilted relative to the dial surface. This innovation is maximized by the curved, three-dimensional shape of the dial and hands.

Enjoy every detail of the mechanism

　The new caliber, 17DM06-DT, developed specifically for this model features not only hour and minute hands, but also a patented double-sided flying tourbillon, a second time zone display with a disc showing 24 cities, and a moon phase display showing the moon as seen from both the northern and southern hemispheres. All displays are compactly and balanced, allowing the mechanism to be admired at the same time. The domed dial is available in blue quartz, as shown in the photo, as well as green quartz and blue aventurine, and custom options are also available to create the dial in your preferred material and color.

　The torque transmitted from the gear train to the single barrel, which has a power reserve of approximately five days, is kept constant through an energy control mechanism, improving the precision of the flying tourbillon, which rotates at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The moon phase disc, which is only accurate to one day in 127 years, and the dime zone display, which rotates once every 24 hours, are each dome-shaped and rotated by a patented mechanism known as the "radial induction system." Three ruby ​​rollers are placed around the circumference of each dome, serving to stabilize the heavy rotating bodies.

　While the movement's complexity is undoubtedly a given, its decoration is also a highlight. Numerous parts, including the skeletonized baseplate and bridges, are hand-engraved, and it's astonishing to see the brilliantly shining "broken glass" motif carved into every corner, not just on flat surfaces but also on mirrored and vertical surfaces. The polished pillars and delicate satin-finished parts reflect the dazzling light.

　The Recital 26 Brainstorm® Chapter Two movement is limited to just 60 pieces, with 30 pieces split equally between sapphire crystal and 18K red gold. Five pieces will be produced for each of the three dial variations, and the remaining pieces will be available for custom orders.
