TIMEX [New for 2021] The Marmont is a faithful reproduction of the 70s cushion-shaped Q TIMEX.

TIMEX, whose sole distributor in Japan is Ueni Trading Co., Ltd., will begin accepting pre-orders for the Marmont, a reproduction of the cushion-shaped Q TIMEX watch released by TIMEX in 1975, on the brand's official online store and in select stores from Tuesday, May 25th, with the general release scheduled for early June. Additionally, a pop-up fair will be held at select stores, showcasing a wide variety of TIMEX watches, including the Marmont.

Marmont

　The quartz model released in 1975 has been reissued as the new "Marmont" in the "Q Timex" series. Like other "Q Timex" reissues, the "Marmont" faithfully reproduces the original appearance of the timepiece, featuring a 38mm cushion-shaped stainless steel case with a domed acrylic crystal and a battery replacement hatch on the case back. The strap is made of embossed genuine leather, and the buckle also reproduces the original shape to match the case.

　The unique name "Marmont" comes from the legendary five-star hotel Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, known as a social gathering place for Hollywood stars; the hotel where James Dean landed a major role, Leonardo DiCaprio had his birthday party, and Jay-Z and Beyoncé held private parties. Since opening in 1929, the hotel has been loved by celebrities for its splendor and hospitality.
