Longines [2021 New Release] "Longines DolceVita" inherits the Art Deco design

Longines has added a new model to its rectangular Dolce Vita watch. The men's model, equipped with an automatic movement, features a new dial. The bar indexes radiating from the center of the dial and the rounded Arabic numerals are inspired by the Art Deco design of the 1920s.

　Longines has added new models to its elegant Dolce Vita collection. The new models, which have enriched the collection for both men and women, share a design that strongly retains the atmosphere of the Art Deco era. The sector dial with Arabic numerals on the dial has been loved by people of all generations.

　The model name "Dolce Vita" is a term that represents the Italian lifestyle, meaning "a rich life" or "a carefree life." Launched in 1997, this collection expresses the lifestyle preferred by Italian people. Longines' Dolce Vita is the perfect companion for spending leisurely, blissful time on a terrace facing a narrow street in Rome or in a cafe overlooking the sea.

A men's model with a new dial

　One of the highlights of the newly announced Dolce Vita models is the Art Deco sector dial, which has been added to a limited number of men's models. The hour circle with its rounded Arabic numerals and the bar index lines radiating from the center of the dial harmonize within the 43.8mm high and 27.7mm wide case.

　The watch is equipped with the Cal. L592 automatic movement with a central second hand. The blue second hand extending from the center displays the delicate movement that only a mechanical watch can offer.

A ladies' model that embodies elegance

　A ladies' model with a modest case size of 32mm in height and 20.8mm in width was also added at the same time. The bezel and lugs on both sides are set with diamonds, but the price is kept in the low 20 yen range.

　Unlike the aforementioned men's model, the dial features Roman numerals, giving it an elegant impression. The embossed flinqué decoration on the surface changes its appearance dramatically depending on the angle from which the dial is viewed, making good use of the shadows and light. A small seconds hand is located at the 6 o'clock position, and the movement is quartz.

　The straps are also interchangeable, making it extremely convenient to easily change them to suit your mood, outfit, or the season.
