Breguet [2021 New Release] New Versions Added to Marine "5517", "5527", and "5547"

To broaden the range of Marine models, Breguet has added new variations to the 5517, 5527, and 5547 this year. The 5517 is a simple model with three hands and a date display. The 5527 also features a flyback chronograph function, with a long central chronograph hand measuring the seconds. Between 3 and 9 o'clock, there are three subdials: a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, and a small second. The 5547 is a model that also features an alarm function and a second time zone display. All models display the date in a separate window.

　Breguet introduced titanium, a material new to the collection, in 2018 with the launch of the first versions of the 5517, 5527, and 5547. Titanium's exceptional properties make it ideal for these maritime-themed timepieces. Its resistance to salt air and corrosion is a major advantage in the marine environment, while its light weight and durability make it a valuable addition. In 2019, Breguet also introduced titanium bracelets, highlighting a modern style. Breguet also paired its Marine titanium models with hand-crafted sunburst dials, featuring extremely delicate lines that extend from the center to the outer edge. These new models feature dials in shades of blue evocative of the sea, in keeping with the spirit of the Marine collection.

Warm rose gold and guilloched sea motifs

　The rose gold variants of the Marine model feature guilloched dials specially designed to reflect the collection's original concept. Crafted from gold, the dial features a guilloched wave motif, evoking a glimpse of the rippling sea through a ship's porthole. Crafted with the masterful skills of the Breguet Maison's guillochers, the guilloching pattern that has always adorned Breguet timepieces adds a further dimension to the unique character of these timepieces. The highly intricate guilloching that adorns each of the dial's different displays is now painted in slate gray, creating a striking contrast with the rich rose gold.
