Fans have been waiting for a size reduction! Timex's "Q TIMEX" now comes in a 36mm case model

Timex has announced a new model with a 36mm case in its Q Timex series, the collection's most popular model. Responding to demand for a smaller size, the new model will be available in four colors and will be available from June 4th.

A new model born in response to user feedback

　For 2021, Timex has announced a new model of its highly popular collection, the Q Timex.

　This collection is a reproduction of archive pieces released in 1979, and has attracted attention for its sporty, retro look and ease of use. This model, which appeared at a time when movements were being fully transitioned from mechanical to battery-powered (quartz), uses the letter "Q" for quartz in the collection name.

　It faithfully reproduces the atmosphere of the original, with a woven stainless steel bracelet that connects to the case, a hatch caseback structure that allows the user to replace the battery themselves using a coin, and above all, its distinctive anodized rotating bezel with a two-tone red and blue color scheme.

　To match the original, the Q Timex has previously been available with a 38mm case diameter, but this latest release is a 36mm model, 2mm smaller. The company says it came to fruition in response to numerous requests from enthusiasts who prefer smaller watches, as well as from female users.

　The 36mm size is the same as the military model developed by the company for the U.S. military, and has proven its versatility, practicality, and most importantly, comfort. While the size has been reduced by 2mm from the original, subtle adjustments have been made to the bracelet width and crown size to ensure balance is not compromised. Another difference from the 38mm model is that all the indexes on the dial are applied.

　This model comes in four color variations. The two-tone bezel has been changed to a single tone, emphasizing an elegant look. In addition to the authentic silver and navy combination, there is also a combination model with a pink gold bezel and a silver dial, and a model with a pink gold or yellow gold case and bracelet.

　Regardless of the color variation, the price is the same at 24,200 yen including tax.
