Patek Philippe [New for 2021] Blue and Green "Aquanaut Chronograph 5968G" Added in White Gold

In 2018, Patek Philippe, true to its sporty and dynamic spirit, introduced the Aquanaut collection's first chronograph model: the stainless-steel Aquanaut Flyback Chronograph Ref. 5968A-001. This year, the manufacture unveiled the first white-gold version of this chronograph, embodying the spirit of "contemporary casual chic." The two new versions feature an elegant midnight blue dial with a darker black gradation (Ref. 5968G-001) or a bold khaki green dial (Ref. 5968G-010), both fitted with matching straps.

　The Aquanaut Flyback Chronograph stands out thanks to the harmonious integration of the chronograph into the Aquanaut's design, combining polished and satin-brushed finishes on the case, bezel, and pushers. The shape of the 60-minute counter at 6 o'clock is inspired by the rounded octagon of the bezel. Two vertical pushers are located above and below the screw-down crown (at 2 and 4 o'clock). The luminous white of the chronograph displays (central chronograph seconds hand, quarter-second scale, 60-minute counter) contrasts with the embossed motif characteristic of Aquanaut models. Luminous white gold applied numerals and hour markers, as well as wide baton-type hour and minute hands, ensure optimal legibility.

Caliber CH 28-520 C

　The automatic flyback chronograph movement, caliber CH 28-520 C, featured in this model combines tradition (column wheel control) with innovation (vertical disc clutch). The vertical clutch operates almost frictionlessly, allowing the chronograph seconds hand to rotate constantly and be used like a center seconds hand. The flyback function allows the chronograph to start the next measurement immediately by pressing the zero return/flyback pusher at 4 o'clock while measuring, without having to stop the chronograph by pressing the start/stop pusher at 2 o'clock.
