Since its founding in 1994, Bell & Ross has been passionate about aviation. In 2011, the brand launched the remarkable Red Radar. Inspired by an aircraft's radar screen, this quirky, innovative and cutting-edge timepiece was a huge success. This year, Bell & Ross unveiled a new version of the Red Radar, the luxurious BR 03-92 Red Radar Ceramic. This avant-garde watch is also inspired by radar screens, but offers an innovative new interpretation of the watch's display.
Red Radar, released in 2011
When it was released in 2011, the BR 01 Red Radar stole the show. Its unconventional design, closely resembling aircraft radar, was both striking and luxurious. Its graphic perfectly replicated the scanning beams of a radar screen. The bright red crystal covering the dial evoked the aviation instruments. The model was a phenomenal success, becoming a Bell & Ross bestseller for many years to come.
The third installment, New Red Radar
The Red Radar Ceramic's time display consists of two concentric discs integrated into the dial. The discs move two small screen-printed aircraft, creating the impression of them flying above the dial. These serve as the hour and minute hands. The hour scale is screen-printed on the inside of the sapphire crystal, protecting it from shocks and abrasions. This innovative display incorporates two ultra-light discs designed to maintain the power reserve. These extremely robust discs do not deform and remain perfectly parallel.

The principle is very simple: two rotating discs on an innovative display replace the traditional hands: two stylish airplanes take on the role of the traditional arrow-shaped hour and minute hands.
- An airliner orbiting the large outer disc displays the time.
- Fighter planes flying over smaller diameter discs closer to the center of the disc display the minutes.
- A slim analog central seconds hand accompanies these two aircraft and displays the seconds.
As is the case in real life, passenger planes fly slower than fighter jets: the former takes 12 hours to complete one revolution around the dial, while the latter takes 60 minutes, meaning the display has two layers.
