Timex's popular "Q TIMEX" model is now available in Japan for the first time

A Japan-exclusive model of Timex's popular model "Q TIMEX" is now available for the first time!

A Japan-exclusive model of the immensely popular "Q TIMEX" has been released since its release in 2019. The monochromatic bezel and jet black dial create a contrast, accented by an orange second hand. It will be available for pre-order on the Timex official online store and Amazon from July 2nd, with general release scheduled for September 24th.

A chic look aimed at Japanese fans

　Timex, an American brand with a long history, has announced a Japan-exclusive model of its "Q TIMEX" watch. The series, which is extremely popular not only in its home country of the United States but also in Japan, has been adding more and more variations every year, and this is the first time it has been released exclusively in Japan.

When the original "Q TIMEX" model was released in 1979, watch movements were in the midst of a shift from mechanical to battery-powered (quartz) movements. To emphasize its novelty at the time, the model name included the initial "Q" for quartz, and it had a 38mm case diameter and a sporty style that was easy to wear on Japanese wrists. Its size and retro look remain relevant even today.

　The modern Q Timex inherits the basic design, including a stainless steel bracelet connected to the integrated lugs, a rotating bezel, and a hatch case structure that allows the user to replace the battery themselves using a coin, recreating the atmosphere of the original.

　The newly announced "Q TIMEX Japan Limited Edition" maintains the original base design and case size, as in previous models. The Japan-exclusive model features a chic appearance with minimal color accents. The stainless steel bezel features lettering and the sides are anodized in black, giving the watch a refined look.

　The entire dial is black, and the luminous indices and hands provide excellent visibility even in the dark. The popular orange second hand adds an accent and a sporty impression.

　This model, which is sure to be immensely popular once again, will be available for pre-sale from Friday, July 2, 2021, at the Timex official online store and Amazon. It is not a limited edition model, and general release is scheduled to begin on Friday, September 24, 2021, but we recommend considering it early.
