The ultra-slim GUCCI 25H watch marks the beginning of a new chapter in Gucci watchmaking

In 2021, celebrating its 100th anniversary, Gucci entered the world of luxury watchmaking with the launch of the Contemporary High Watchmaking collection, designed by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. At the same time, the brand unveiled its first ultra-thin movement, marking a new chapter in the history of Gucci watchmaking.

Gucci's first in-house caliber, the GUCCI GG727.25

　The Gucci GG727.25 is Gucci's first original caliber, developed and produced at Kering's cutting-edge movement manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Measuring just 3.70mm thick, the ultra-thin automatic caliber, the GUCCI GG727.25.A, incorporates the number 25, Alessandro Michele's lucky number and a number often used in Gucci collections, with the number 7 representing perfection, the number 2 representing harmony and cooperation, and the number 5 representing curiosity and freedom.

　The horizontal lines of dark grey with a satin-brushed finish give the slim frame a subtle sense of depth, while the caliber name "GG727.25.A" is highlighted in red. An interlocking G motif is placed at 12 o'clock, with the Gucci logo and the word "Automatic" inscribed in black just below.

　The innovatively designed skeleton hands feature dot markers coated with Super-LumiNova near the tips. The delicate stick-shaped indexes are also coated with Super-LumiNova, making it easy to read the time even in the dark. The octagonal crown is engraved with the Interlocking G logo.

GUCCI 25H Tourbillon Model

　The caliber name "GUCCI GG727.25.T" is engraved slightly above the center of the dial. The sapphire crystal case back allows a view of the 3Hz (21,600 vph) variable inertia balance wheel. The 26-jewel movement is automatically wound by a micro-rotor and has a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The movement plate features specially designed guilloché engraving and is engraved with the caliber name "GUCCI GG727.25.T" and the Interlocking G logo. The blued screws also highlight the advanced nature of this movement.
