Glashütte Original is launching a new special edition that celebrates the vibrant lifestyle of the 1960s. The new vintage-inspired Chronograph features a gradient dark green dial and a hand-finished automatic movement, celebrating the cool charisma of the 60s, just like the music and fashion of the era. The 60s were a time filled with originality, joie de vivre, and a rhythmic beat, just like the new Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition.

The glorious 1960s

　The 60s was a time of great global change. Young people were setting fashion trends, and designers were embracing them. London's Carnaby Street was a colorful, crowded street, teeming with people embracing a new dynamism: perfectly tailored suits with ultra-slim ties, razor-sharp hairstyles, and dancing to the throbbing music of the time. The fashion was also infinitely unique, sleek, and cool. It was this sophisticated style and the enthusiasm for the unique culture and fashion they had created that gave birth to the Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition 2021.

　The 39-34 automatic movement inside this timepiece beats to perfection, powering the hours, minutes, small seconds, stop-seconds mechanism, and chronograph's 30-minute counter, ensuring reliability and precision. This in-house movement beats at 4 Hz, and individual components, such as beveled edges and polished screws, are subtly accentuated with hand-crafted details like the Glashütte stripe finish. The skeletonized rotor is crafted from 21K gold and features the distinctive double-G logo. All these details are visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

　The new chronograph was crafted by Glashütte's experienced watchmakers with the same meticulous attention to detail as a custom-made suit. The 42-mm round stainless steel case draws the eye to the meticulously hand-finished retro dial, which features a beautiful gradation from light green in the center to dark green around the edges. The dial also features a delicate pattern created with unique tooling and techniques typical of the period. Two white Arabic numerals are highlighted by luminous dot hour markers. The watch is paired with a soft gray-brown calfskin nubuck leather strap.
