Breitling and British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph have announced a long-term partnership, resulting in the release of a limited-edition watch and custom bike in early 2022. The two brands' partnership has already begun, with the Triumph Thruxton RS (the original modern cafe racer) on display in key Breitling boutiques around the world. What is Triumph?
Founded in 1902, motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles celebrates its 119th anniversary in 2021. Based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, UK for over 30 years, the company has produced iconic motorcycles that excel in design, character, charisma, and performance. With shipments of over 75,000 units last year, Triumph Motorcycles is the UK's largest motorcycle manufacturer, with approximately 700 dealers around the world.
Triumph has a storied racing history, having achieved numerous feats, including finishing and winning in almost every class of motorcycle racing. The brand became the second-largest manufacturer to win the Isle of Man TT in 1908, and continued to dominate the race until the 1960s.
The company has also made a strong presence in modern supersport racing, with victories in the Daytona 200, consecutive British Superbike Championships, and multiple titles at the Isle of Man TT, including Peter Hickman's breakthrough in 2019. It is now the exclusive engine supplier for the FIM Moto2™ World Championship, and in 2021 returned to the British Superbike Championship with its factory team, Dynavolt Triumph.
