Royal Asscher, a diamond jewellery founded in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1854, will launch the new "ROYAL ASSCHER SIGNATURE CUT" collection on October 1, 2021, featuring four original cuts that have been internationally patented.
Royal Asscher Signature Cut Collection
In addition to the square-shaped "Royal Asscher Cut" and the "Royal Asscher Brilliant Cut," which are already available in Japan, and the "Royal Asscher Oval Cut" and "Royal Asscher Cushion Cut," which are an evolution of the round brilliant cut, the new "Signature Cut Collection" will be released with four types. The Asscher family's desire to "make diamonds shine brightest" has been passed down since the company's founding, and this desire is pursued in a variety of cut shapes.
These cuts, which focus on 74 facets, are the same number of facets as the Cullinan I and Cullinan II, which were cut from the world's largest rough diamond, the Cullinan, a legendary diamond that remains in the hearts of many people today and is set in the British Royal Scepter and the British Imperial State Crown.
Royal Asscher Cut
The "Royal Asscher Cut" is made from carefully selected octahedral stones, and is characterized by the beauty of the delicate light created by the straight lines unique to the step cut, as well as high transparency. Ring PT950 x Center DIA 1.02ct. 473 yen (tax included)
On the sides, the graceful curves of the melee diamonds create a soft feel within the solid feel.
Royal Asscher Brilliant Cut
This original cut has 74 facets, with 8 facets added to the crown side of the traditional 58-facet round brilliant cut and 8 facets added to the pavilion side for a total of 16 facets. The two layered arms set with melee diamonds add a touch of glamour to the woman who wears it. Ring PT950 x Center Diameter 1.05ct. 4,950,000 yen (tax included)
From the front it appears simple, but when you look at it from the side, the bold height makes it appear to have a captivating form with a beautiful space.
Royal Asscher Oval Cut
The "Royal Asscher Oval Cut" has 74 facets, with 8 facets on the crown and 8 facets on the pavilion, totaling 16 facets, added to the standard 58-facet oval cut. The clarity and brilliance of an oval cut are greatly influenced by the overall proportions and balance of the outline, so Royal Asscher has introduced consistent cutting standards to oval cuts, which are often cut with irregular length-to-width ratios. Ring PT950 x Center diameter 1.07ct. 385 yen (tax included)
Through simulations of various aspect ratios, we determined that the aspect ratio should be 1:1.4±, which maximizes light reflection and leads to ideal brilliance. This not only achieves a beautiful visual form, but also a stable, beautiful brilliance.
Royal Asscher Cushion Cut
The standard 54-facet cushion cut is finished with 20 facets, 8 on the crown and 12 on the pavilion, for a total of 74 facets, resulting in even greater brilliance. While retaining the strong brilliance and square shape characteristic of brilliant cuts, the rounded corners give it a soft and elegant impression. Ring PT950 x Center diameter 1.04ct. 396 yen (tax included)
The design, with the stone setting raised as if lifting the center diamond, creates a more luxurious look for your fingers.
