Oris Aquis Date Upcycle contributes to environmental protection with an upcycled dial made from recycled plastic

Oris has announced the Aquis Date Upcycle, a high-performance diver's watch with a dial made from colorful recycled PET plastic.

1,300 million tonnes of plastic enters the ocean every year

　According to statistics from the United Nations Environment Programme, 13 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year, equivalent to one truckload every minute. According to an article in National Geographic, there are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean, of which 269,000 tons are floating on the surface. It is believed that only 9% of all plastic ever produced has been recycled.

　The Aquis Date Upcycle is available in 41.5mm and 36.5mm case sizes, both featuring dials made from recycled ocean plastic.
