The partnership between Hublot and Berluti, which began in 2016, is reinterpreted in limited editions with the Big Bang Unico Berluti Arminio, a partnership that combines fashion and watchmaking, leather and titanium, design and materials.
Venezia leather used for the bezel and dial
The iconic burnished Venezia leather is used for the polished titanium bezel and dial, with the indexes and "Swiss Made" inscription embossed directly onto the leather surface of the dial. The leather dial, sandwiched between two sapphire crystals, offers a unique view of the in-house Unico movement, a feat of advanced technology. Through its collaboration with Berluti, Hublot has developed a technique that preserves the beauty of the leather and preserves its natural color. Symbolizing the perfect fusion of these two worlds, the strap is crafted from burnished "Aluminio" Venezia leather, and the 50-piece Japan-limited edition features a Scritto motif.
Big Bang Unico Berluti Arminio
"Aluminio" is one of Berluti's signature patinas, beautifully reflecting light on the various tones of Venezia leather. For this model, Hublot devised a new two-part bezel design. Using a cured resin, the first part of the bezel (made of leather, approximately 1 mm thick) is inserted into the second part (made of gray titanium) and screwed to the case. This gives the bezel, like the strap, a timeless patina tone.

To harmonize the burnished Aluminio Venezia leather with the watch's mechanical mechanism, Hublot Manufacture carefully selected the best materials from its wide range of in-house materials: titanium for the 44 mm case and buckle, resin for the central horn, tungsten for the oscillating weight, and satin-finished rhodium for the hands. With over 40 years of pioneering design experience, Hublot has developed and produced a wide variety of watchmaking materials, which allowed it to create a Big Bang that perfectly complements the nuances of Berluti's burnished leather.
