Ulysse Nardin Launches Two Models to Celebrate the Monaco Yacht Show

Sharing its passion for the sea, elegance, innovation and precision, Ulysse Nardin has been an official sponsor of the world's most prestigious Yacht Show for over 10 years. The Monaco Yacht Show, held at Port Hercules at the end of September, will return after a one-year hiatus, welcoming lovers of luxury yachts, magnificent destinations and comfortable holidays. In this idyllic Mediterranean setting, Ulysse Nardin unveiled two new models: the Diver Chronograph Monaco Yacht Show and the stunningly exclusive Marine Mega Yacht in rose gold.

　The case, bezel, and UN element are made of titanium, while the bezel is rubber-coated. This model has all the features of a diver's watch: ultra-resistant sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, a Super-LumiNova "0," a unidirectional rotating bezel for optimal visibility even at great depths, and water resistance to 300 meters. It comes with a choice of three straps: rubber, metal, or fabric with Velcro.

　The heart of this powerful timepiece is a 37mm diameter, 504-component manual movement. Its cruising speed of 21,600 vph guarantees a power reserve of approximately 80 hours, and the tourbillon rotates at 60 revolutions per hour or one rotation every 60 seconds. The watch's primary function is to display the analog time and a mechanism that displays a three-dimensional representation of the moon phases and the tides for a specific location in real time. This mechanism is adjusted via the crown, and its position is measured through a window, similar to the screen of a training telegraph. The anchor, a modern design, is shaped like a swastika and is connected to the chain by an anchor ring. Although this anchor ring passes through a decorative mooring chock, it moves in response to the movement of the winding stem of the crown, indicating the power reserve. In pursuit of maximum realism, Ulysse Nardin has created a genuine miniature winding mechanism at 12 o'clock.

　The moon phase display is a meticulously scaled 3D representation of Earth's satellite, with the actual lunar surface recreated using ultra-precise engraving for extra impact. The moon is composed of two hemispheres: one blue PVD-plated (during the new moon period) and the other rhodium-plated (recreating the solar illumination effect). The annual calendar is adjusted using the crown by aligning the indicator displayed in the telegraph aperture on the strap side with the corresponding indication (S: hand setting position; TM: tide moon position; W: movement winding position). At the midpoint of the indicator, turning the crown counterclockwise adjusts the moon phase and tidal level display (one rotation of the crown corresponds to four days), while turning it clockwise adjusts the tidal level depending on your location (one rotation of the crown corresponds to 0.25 rotation of the disc, which is equivalent to 9.5 hours).
