Rado's popular Captain Cook high-tech ceramic pink dial project

Rado will be participating in the Pink Dial Project, a special auction planned to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2021. Created in collaboration with Singapore-based watch magazine REVOLUTION and other major media outlets, the auction will raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment. Rado will also contribute to the charity with a one-off Captain Cook high-tech ceramic watch featuring pink details and a commemorative logo.

The one-of-a-kind Captain Cook high-tech ceramic model, with its pink flange trim, is the toughest timepiece to meet the organizers' request. It features a monobloc, matte-finish plasma high-tech ceramic case, an R734 automatic movement with a Nivachron™ anti-magnetic balance spring and up to 80 hours of power reserve, and a contrasting matte and polished plasma ceramic link bracelet with a titanium three-fold clasp with Ceramos™ release.

 The case back is also specially decorated, with the logo of the organizer, "REVOLUTION," and the words "UNIQUE PIECE" engraved on it.

What is the Pink Dial Project?

The Pink Dial Project, conceived by magazines such as Time and Tide, Fratello, Eye of Jewelry, Revolution, and The Rake, along with contributor Eric Khoo, aims to raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment through a watch auction and to raise awareness of the disease.

 Rado and other watch brands will auction off one-of-a-kind timepieces at the event in October, with all proceeds donated to the charity. Other prominent brands participating include IWC, Oris, Chopard, Sinn, Zenith, Tag Heuer, Panerai, Piaget, Bulgari, Montblanc, and Roger Dubuis.
