Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Bicompax Annual Lucerne: Inspired by Classic Cars

Carl F. Bucherer's limited edition Heritage Bicompax Annual Lucerne is inspired by the Lincoln Cosmopolitan Town Car, a classic car with a remarkable history. The car originally belonged to Carl Edoard Bucherer, son of company founder Carl Friedrich Bucherer. After changing hands several times over the years, Carl Edoard's son, Jorg G. Bucherer, repurchased the family car in 2013 and commissioned a meticulous restoration, restoring it to its former glory. The new model features color details inspired by the restored car, paying homage to the Bucherer family, this remarkable car, and Carl F. Bucherer's hometown of Lucerne.

　The silver-colored dial, visible through the double-domed sapphire crystal, features a light blue subdial with the chronograph minute counter and small seconds. It is complemented by a light blue ring for the tachymeter scale, a color reminiscent of the color of the cars lovingly restored by Jorg G. Bucherer. The dial also features a moon window between 4 and 5 o'clock and a large date window just below 12 o'clock.

　The Heritage Bicompax Annual Lucerne evokes the finest timepieces of the past, but its mechanical movement is a modern innovation. The CFB 1972 caliber automatic chronograph has a 42-hour power reserve, and its annual calendar, which takes into account the length of months (30 and 31 days), only needs to be adjusted once a year, on March 1st.
