Chopard launches limited edition Mille Miglia model in collaboration with Bamford

Chopard has announced a collaboration model with Bamford Watch Department, which creates numerous customized watches. The Mille Miglia Bamford Edition, featuring an orange and gray color scheme, is a limited edition model of just 33 pieces.

A rare model that combines Bamford's sensibility with the Mille Miglia

　This time, a special Mille Miglia has been created in collaboration with Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and George Bamford, founder of the Bamford Watch Department.

　The new Mille Miglia Bamford Edition, created by the traditional Chopard and the creative Bamford, is a limited edition of just 33 serially numbered pieces, and is characterized by its attention to detail. The combination of black, dark grey and flame orange (reddish orange) gives it a modern look that sets it apart from the regular model.

　The orange color of the second hand and chronograph counter stands out against the matte dark gray dial, allowing for instant readability. At the same time, the orange tachymeter scale on the outer edge of the dial also contributes to the visibility of the measured time.

　The 42mm stainless steel case is finished with a DLC coating and bead-blasted finish for a matte finish, creating a dark grey hue reminiscent of vintage cars. This finish also provides added scratch resistance, making it a fitting addition to the Mille Miglia collection, which is based on car racing.

　The slightly rounded case features a steering wheel-shaped crown and piston-shaped pushers on the sides, and these small details evoke the elements of car racing. The short lugs and the Cordura-finished strap with orange stitching accents provide a comfortable fit.

　In addition, the movement installed in this work has been certified by the official Swiss chronometer test, proving its high precision. The movement, which operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, can be seen through the transparent back engraved with the arrow logo of "1000 Miglia", but it is unique to this work that it is slightly smoked.
