Blancpain Launches "Ladybird Colors," Heralding a New Era for its Women's Watch Collection

Blancpain has announced the "Ladybird Colors," which offers a choice of seven color variations based on the combination of case color and colorful strap. This model features a red gold or white gold case paired with a white mother-of-pearl dial, and a bezel, lugs, and crown set with 59 diamonds, creating a dazzling appearance. Furthermore, it is equipped with the Caliber 1153, which has a silicon balance spring and a power reserve of approximately 100 hours, making it a truly powerful model.

　Blancpain is also known as a pioneer of ladies' watches. Starting with the launch of the world's first automatic ladies' watch, the Rolls, in 1930, the collection was further expanded when Betty Pfister became the first female president of a watchmaking company in 33. This was due to Betty Pfister's belief that women could fully appreciate the craftsmanship and appeal of mechanical watches, and her belief that beautiful accessories were necessary for a woman to complete her appropriate attire.

　For Blancpain, the Ladybird women's watch collection is one of its most important collections. The Ladybird series symbolizes liberation, elegance, and success, and has a history that includes the smallest round movement at the time, which was introduced in 1956. Furthermore, rather than simply downsizing men's watches, the Ladybird collection has been specially developed to meet the desires and needs of modern women.

　The Ladybird Colors model measures 34.9mm in diameter, making it suitable for a variety of wrist sizes and allowing for the watch's beautiful decoration to shine through. The white mother-of-pearl dial features rounded, angled gold Arabic numerals. The hour, minute, and second hands are shaped like Blancpain's signature hollowed-out sage leaves. Diamonds surround the hands, highlighting the indices.

　The movement is equipped with the Caliber 1153, which has a power reserve of approximately 100 hours and a silicon balance spring, ensuring excellent basic performance as a watch. The main plate is circularly grained, and the bridges are chamfered and satin-finished with a Côtes de Genève motif. The gold rotor is openworked in a design that harmonizes with the circular pattern of the decoration, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful details of the movement.

The alligator leather straps are available in seven different colors: peacock green, midnight blue, and satin white for the red gold model, and lemon yellow, tangerine orange, lilac, and satin white for the white gold model.
