The Citizen, a watch brand that pursues the essence of timekeeping and boasts outstanding precision, will be releasing a model exclusively at select stores that features the Cal. 0100 movement, which has the world's highest accuracy as an autonomous solar-powered wristwatch, and features Tosa washi paper on the dial.

　Tosa washi paper has been produced in the Tosa City area of ​​Kochi Prefecture for over 1000 years. It is known for its thinness and durability, and Tosa Tengujoshi paper, which is used for the restoration of cultural properties, is the thinnest handmade washi paper in Japan.
It has also been highly praised overseas for its use in the restoration of ancient documents, and Tosa Tengujo paper is also used in The Citizen.

　The base plate is decorated with a pattern made of platinum foil and platinum powder, and the pattern is visible through the layer of washi paper, resulting in a unique dial that is completed through the skill of a craftsman.

　Conventional Eco-Drive watches use a heavy brass second hand, which consumes a lot of power and is difficult to place directly above the scale. The hour and minute hands have a hazel-cut design, where the vertical part of the hand is cut at an angle, creating a reflective surface that makes the time easier to read.
