Eberhard announces new models to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Chrono 4

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Chrono 4, a model equipped with a unique chronograph with four registers, Eberhard has announced a new variation. The impressive design features a 42mm case and is available in a variety of variations with different dials and bracelets.

Eberhardt's core collection is revamped

　Eberhard has revamped its signature Chrono 4 collection, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the collection, which was launched in 2001, with numerous variations available.

　The new collection, "21-42," embodies 20 years of history, success, and innovation. The "42" in the collection name represents the diameter of the case, while the "21" represents the 20th anniversary of the birth of Chrono4 in 2021, and also represents an auspicious number that embodies courage, friendship, and stability.

　Eberhard's revolutionary chronograph, the Chrono 4, began with an insight from then-CEO Palmiro Monti in early 2000. Monti wondered if it was possible to develop technology that would allow a more logical and intuitive reading of the two (or even three) chronograph counters that had previously been located at 12, 3, and 9 o'clock.

　After much trial and error, a patent for a mechanism with four parallel counters was obtained in 2001. This was the first time in the history of watchmaking that a chronograph counter was laid out in a single horizontal row.

　The new variations all share a 42mm satin-finished stainless steel case and the innovative movement, Cal. EB.251, based on the ETA2894-2.

　Some models feature a ceramic bezel with a tachymeter, others a dial with a Clous de Paris pattern, and a wide variety of straps are available, including leather straps, rubber straps, and stainless steel bracelets, so the combination can create a completely different look, from classic to sporty.
