Citizen Attesa releases its first collaboration model with the Nissan Fairlady Z

Citizen has announced two models in collaboration with Nissan's Fairlady Z sports car as the first in a series commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Citizen Attesa brand. Each model is limited to 1700 pieces worldwide and incorporates Fairlady Z details in every aspect. Pre-orders are currently being accepted, with the models scheduled for release on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

Reflecting the details of the reborn "Fairlady Z"

　Citizen, which has been supporting global business people and developing high-performance models since 1987, has announced the first model to celebrate the brand's 35th anniversary. This new model is a collaboration with the Fairlady Z, one of Nissan's most iconic sports cars.

　This collaboration was made possible by the synchronization of Citizen Attesa's challenging attitude, high technical capabilities, and passion for every second with the Fairlady Z's history of taking on numerous challenges, the technology it has honed as a sports car, and its uncompromising attitude.

　The two models announced are based on the Citizen Attesa "ACT Line" solar-powered Eco-Drive radio-controlled watch, and incorporate details from the latest Fairlady Z model throughout, expressing the charm of the actual car.

　The AT8185-89E, which uses an accent color reminiscent of "Ikazuchi Yellow," one of the body colors available for the 2022 Fairlady Z, features a black dial, hour and minute hands, indexes, case, and bracelet, all of which feature the dot design found on the seats of the special edition car. The design is reminiscent of lightning shining against a jet black background, creating a sense of speed.

　The AT8185-97E, which uses the newly available body color "Seiran Blue," features a matte black dial reminiscent of highway asphalt, with silver hour and minute hands and indices as accents, creating a cool impression. Both models also feature a red second hand reminiscent of the red zone of the tachometer, a "Z" on the crown, and the "NISSAN" logo on the case back.

　The watch is equipped with a complex multi-function movement, Cal. H804. It's powered by Eco-Drive technology with a solar panel on the dial, eliminating the need for periodic battery changes. It automatically receives time standard radio waves from four regions around the world (Japan, China, the United States, and Europe), eliminating the need to manually adjust the time and calendar. Additionally, with the simple operation of turning the crown, it can display the time and calendar for 26 cities around the world.

　The case and bracelet are made of scratch-resistant, lightweight, and hypoallergenic Super Titanium™, and are coated with Citizen's proprietary surface hardening technology, Duratect DLC coating, giving the watch a lustrous black finish that exudes luxury and sportiness. This watch, which is sure to be a hit with motorsport fans, is currently accepting pre-orders, with the release date scheduled for Thursday, March 10, 2022.
