TAG Heuer Announces the New Aquaracer Professional 200 Collection

TAG Heuer has added a new collection to its popular Aquaracer line, the Aquaracer Professional 200. The watch is available in 40mm and 30mm case diameters, with mechanical and quartz movements, and boasts a robust exterior with 200m water resistance.

New options for the Aquaracer

　TAG Heuer unveiled the new Aquaracer Professional 200 at LVMH Watch Week 2022. Bold, stylish, and versatile, this new tool watch continues the rich tradition of high-performance sports watches that TAG Heuer started 40 years ago.

　The collection features stainless steel cases measuring 40mm in diameter and 11mm thick. Both models feature a unidirectional rotating bezel with 12 facets, are water resistant to 200m, and are available with either a mechanical automatic movement or a quartz movement. A 30mm women's model has also been added.

　Compared to the previous generation model, which was 41mm in diameter and 12mm thick, the new model has a slimmer and sleeker silhouette. TAG Heuer's design and engineering teams have created a more refined and durable model while retaining the essence of the Aquaracer.

　The differences between this collection and the Aquaracer Professional 300, which was updated in 2021, are immediately apparent. Both models feature a 12-faceted bezel, a horizontal line pattern on the dial, and short lugs with a satin and polished finish. They also share a three-link bracelet, a dodecahedron faceplate, and a protected screw-down crown.

　The obvious differences between the two are: the 40mm case is noticeably more compact, the minute track on the bezel is all metal rather than a ceramic insert, and the center links of the bracelet are polished rather than brushed, giving the new collection a more formal feel.

　The matte finish, which reduces the surface shine, highlights the unique design of the Aquaracer. The contrast between the vertical hairline finish and the polished finish on the case is heightened, making the watch appear slimmer.

　The bracelet has also been slimmed down to match the case. Its shape naturally follows the curves of the wrist, and its ergonomic design is also a consideration. The flexible and durable bracelet of this collection features a comfort link that can be extended by 7 mm and can be quickly adjusted using an easy-to-use push-down and pull-release mechanism.
