New collaboration model between Nissan "NISMO" and Casio "EDIFICE" released

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has announced a new model in collaboration with Nissan's motorsports organization, NISMO, as part of its EDIFICE collection, which boasts a variety of functions. The watch features a sporty design based on black and red, with the traditional ace number "23" highlighted on the bezel and case back. It is scheduled to go on sale on Friday, March 4, 2022.

High-performance watches and motorsports go hand in hand

　Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the EQS-930NIS, a collaboration model with Nissan's NISMO, as a new addition to its EDIFICE collection of high-performance models based on the concept of "Speed ​​and Intelligence." NISMO, named after Nissan Motorsports International, is the team that is primarily responsible for Nissan's motorsports activities, not only participating in car races but also applying the technology and designs developed there to production vehicles.

　Meanwhile, Casio's EDIFICE line features bold designs and cutting-edge technology, offering a wide range of models, from multi-function models equipped with chronographs and smartphone link functions to standard models with limited functionality. EDIFICE shares NISMO's commitment to utilizing cutting-edge technology and pursuing ultimate performance, and has been supporting the brand since 2021.

　The newly released EQS-930NIS expresses the worldview of NISMO and motorsports in the design of its face and body. As can be seen from the exterior, its biggest feature is that it is clad in the red and black coloring, which are the brand colors of NISMO. The case, dial, and strap are all black, with red accents on the edges of the inset dial, the sides of the bezel, and the push buttons.

　Of note is the number "23," Nismo's ace number, featured at the 23rd minute on the bezel and on the case back. The Nismo logo is featured throughout the bezel, band ring, and case back, creating a special feel unique to this limited edition. The retrograde minute counter, located between 8 and 11 o'clock, is colored in a way that evokes the "heat gradation" effect that occurs when titanium mufflers, such as those found in sports cars, develop a blue-like burnt color due to the heat from the exhaust and temperature differences depending on the location.

　The surface of the strap features a random pattern reminiscent of the tread of a tire after a fierce race, and the box is a special edition featuring the team colors of red and black and the double name of NISMO and EDIFICE.
