Introducing the new Sinn "1739.Ag.B," the first watch to feature a special silver case.

Sinn has announced the new model "1739.Ag.B" from its Classic Series, which is characterized by a simple appearance with limited functionality. The simple dial, which displays only the hours and minutes, is finished with a beautiful blue sunray finish, and the case is made for the first time from a special material that is resistant to oxidation, "935 Argentium Silver alloy."

A simple sunray dial with limited functionality

　Sinn has added a new model to its Classic series, the 1739.Ag.B. While many of Sinn's models are practical tool watches that are robust and suitable for professional use, the Classic collection has an elegant appearance that contrasts with them.

　This classic model, born from the fusion of watchmaking craftsmanship and a unique traditional aesthetic, features an eye-catching sunray-finished blue dial and a design focused on the essentials of a wristwatch, namely the hour and minute display.

　The rhodium-plated applied indexes, which are polished to a mirror finish, are set into a stepped area around the outer edge of the dial, creating a unique semi-floating structure. The combination of the hour and minute hands, which have a unique design that widens as they move outwards, and the indexes create a harmonious appearance. The gently curved sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating highlights the blue dial, and the transparent case back allows viewers to admire the movement in action.

First use of special silver alloy

　One notable feature of this model is that it is the first to use a special material, "935 Argentium Silver Alloy," for the case, which has the characteristic of not tarnishing or darkening like regular sterling silver.

　The advantage of this special silver alloy, which differs from conventional precious metals, is that it forms a protective layer of germanium oxide on the surface, significantly slowing the tarnishing process. Its silver purity is higher than conventional sterling silver, and its unique manufacturing process prevents tarnishing and eliminates the need for plating, resulting in a bright, whitish color. However, it will gradually develop a gold color, which can be removed with the included Argentium care cloth.
