Rado reopened on the first floor of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi Department Store in Tenjin, Fukuoka on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. The relocated Rado store on the first floor has a spacious interior that expresses the brand's worldview.

New look with black and bronze accents

The new store, which adopts Rado's latest concept, reflects the world view of the brand, which is renowned as a "Master of Materials."

The new black and bronze look reflects Rado's innovative design and pioneering style, expressing the pioneering research, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking materials and exceptional craftsmanship that are unique to Rado.

Rado, which has been relocated and opened on the first floor, expresses the brand's worldview and has a spacious atmosphere.

The store's design combines matte and glossy surfaces with warm bronze tones, with specially crafted brushed bronze panels adding texture and sheen, while light effects create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The shop has been renovated with a calming atmosphere using warm, luxurious materials, and offers a wide range of collections, from classic models such as the long-loved "Captain Cook" and "Centrix" to the highly designed "True" collection and the latest models. Rado Fukuoka Mitsukoshi is now the largest store in the Kyushu region.

True Square, which will be shown in Japan for the first time, will be available for pre-sale

To commemorate this refreshed opening, the new model "True Square Over the Abyss," which will be unveiled in Japan for the first time, is available for pre-sale. Based on Rado's iconic square shape, this special watch is a design collaboration with the Indian artist duo Thukral & Tagla.

Rado "True Square Over the Abyss"
Automatic movement (Cal. R734). 25 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve approximately 80 hours. High-tech ceramic (diameter 38mm). Water resistant to 50m. Price: 313,500 yen (tax included).

This model features a unique time display that superimposes the wearer's local time onto various time zones around the world, symbolically represented by 37 hands in a gradient from blue to pink that create the appearance of fireworks in the center of the dial.

Thukral & Tagra's unique worldview and sense of color will astonish anyone who sees it, and you'll notice that it combines a nostalgic atmosphere with a modern impression. I'd love to see how True Square Over the Abyss resonates with their sensibilities.

Additionally, if you purchase a Rado product during March, you will also receive an original gift from the brand.
