Seiko has announced three new "Save the Ocean" models, which use colors and dial textures to express the magnificent world of polar glaciers, a challenge faced by Seiko divers. Each model features a different color scheme, representing a glacier that has been formed over many years, an Antarctic glacier, or an Arctic glacier.

Three new films that tell the story of a deep connection with glaciers

　Seiko diver's watches have a deep connection with the polar regions where glaciers spread. Seiko diver's watches have been donated four times since 1966 as equipment for the Antarctic Research Expedition, and explorer Naomi Uemura used a 1970 Divers watch with a crown at the 4 o'clock position and distinctive crown guard when crossing the Arctic Circle by dog ​​sled. Seiko diver's watches have continued to support researchers, engineers, and adventurers who venture into the harsh environments of glaciers.

The watch combines the deep blue seen deep inside glaciers with a solid black bezel, incorporating the accumulated technology cultivated over more than half a century of history.

Next, the "Prospex 1968 Mechanical Divers Modern Design Save the Ocean Model" SBDC167 is based on the modern design model of the "1968 Divers" and is inspired by the glaciers of Antarctica, the place where Seiko Divers' challenge began. Antarctica is covered by thick glaciers, also known as the ice sheet. The magnificent landscape of this ice sheet is expressed with a light blue dial color and dark blue bezel.

　The Prospex 1970 Mechanical Divers Modern Design Save the Ocean Model SBDC169 is based on the modern design of the 1970 Divers model used by explorer Naomi Uemura in the Arctic. The pure white dial depicts the silvery world of the vast glaciers floating above the Arctic Ocean, while the blue bezel and the tip of the second hand represent the sky and the ocean peeking through the glaciers.
