A new model has been released that uses a unique color scheme to commemorate the achievements of Shohei Ohtani, who serves as the brand image character for Seiko Astron. This limited edition model will be released on April 15, 2022, with a limited run of 1700 pieces.

At the 2021 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, where Shohei Ohtani became the first player in history to play as a two-way player and thrilled the world, uniforms were standardized by league rather than by team.

This model incorporates the navy blue and red colors used in the American League uniform. Shohei Ohtani's uniform number, "17," is subtly printed transparently on the subdial. The subdial at 9 o'clock also displays the GPS reception status.

The case back features Ohtani's signature as proof that it is a collaboration model, the words "Limited Edition," and a serial number ranging from 0001/1700 to 1700/1700, a reference to his uniform number 17. The watch also comes in a special navy blue box with Ohtani's autograph, adding to its premium feel.
This commemorative Seiko Astron collaboration with Shohei Ohtani, who is known to have passionate fans in the United States, will be released on April 15th in a limited run of 1700 pieces.
