Romain Gauthier has announced the launch of a tantalum limited edition of its most iconic timepiece, the Logical One, available exclusively in Asia, with a limited run of 18 pieces. Seeking something special for Asia, Romain Gauthier arrived at a material new to the brand: tantalum, one of the most precious rare metals, with special and unique properties. Dark gray tantalum is twice as hard as titanium and highly resistant to corrosion and scratches.

　Tantalum is one of the rarest stable elements in the solar system, even less abundant than gold. Its rarity, plus its luxurious texture, make it a unique material for watchmaking. Tantalum is incredibly durable and resistant to corrosion and skin allergies. Like its namesake, Tantalus, from Greek mythology, tantalum is a unique metal that can remain submerged in water forever.

　The Tantalum model features a Grand Feu enamel dial and a two-tone case with a tantalum caseband, and the bezel, bezel caseback, pushers, and crown are available in red or white gold.

A collector's item that gives you the joy of owning it

　For the Logical One, which was launched in 2013, 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of its launch and also the end of production. In accordance with the "Legacy" concept announced last year, Logical One will accept orders for only 20 pieces each of the white gold and titanium cases by 2023, with production ending with 18 pieces of the tantalum edition, exclusive to Asia.

The number 18 represents the anniversary of the year in which the Logical One reaches its final production milestone.
